Our Team
Cameron Larson
PRINCIPAL/FOUNDER
Cameron is the Principal and Founder of WaveSmith. With over 16 years of experience in the telecom industry and over 35 years of management and sales experience specializing in cloud, data center and carrier services. Some of his clients include Hightail, Amazon, KPMG, Bank of Cascades, Sony, and Ragingwire. Larson’s leadership skills include identifying and solving customer issues with an exceptional customer service track record and the ability to manage complex projects to provide top notch solutions to our clients.
Larson spends his free time mountain biking, surfing, snowboarding, hiking and practicing yoga.
Dawn Ohlendorf
VICE PRESIDENT, OPERATIONS
Dawn is an accomplished Information Technology project management professional with 20 years of industry experience working with a wide range of clients and applications. She has a superior command of both the technical and business needs of her clients. This combination of expertise and acumen enables Dawn to provide superior service to our clients.
Dawn serves on the boards of several nonprofit organizations and spends her free time with her family in San Diego.
Brian Patrick
VICE PRESIDENT, SYSTEMS ENGINEERING
Brian brings over 25 years of experience in the information technology sector to Wavesmith. He is responsible for managing and overseeing the design of new technologies to meet the current and future needs of our customers. He resides in San Clemente, California and spends his free time mountain biking, surfing with family and friends, and serving in various capacities in nonprofit organizations.
Dirk Larson
VICE PRESIDENT, SALES
Dirk Larson has been the Vice President of Sales at WaveSmith for 11 years and has spent the last 25 years in sales. Dirk got his start in telecommunications while working for Telepacific where he was a consistent, company-wide top performer.
A Portland native, Dirk moved back to the Pacific Northwest from San Diego in 2008 to run the Portland sales office. Dirk is a well-known figure in the community and is a vital team member at WaveSmith.
When you can pry Dirk’s droid from his palms, you will find him biking, skiing, practicing yoga or drinking a pint at one of Portland’s many fine brewpubs.
Andrea Wasilew Larson
MARKETING AND PR
Andrea is an award-winning public relations professional. She prides herself on her strong relationships with the media, creating innovative public relations and social media campaigns, and securing top media placement for clients. Andrea is extremely passionate about what she does for clients and it shows! Her clients have been featured in some of the top media outlets in the country, including Los Angeles Times, NPR, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Today Show, Outside Magazine, & many more. In her free time, she embraces the outdoor playground in Central Oregon running trails, hiking, skiing, and spending time with her two daughters, husband, and Labrador.
Albert Barajas
VICE PRESIDENT, TECHNOLOGY
Albert brings 25 years of information technology and management experience to WaveSmith. Some of Albert’s past projects included building the Qualcomm compute infrastructure during the crazy growth phase from a small company of 1000 employees to over 12000. He founded an early cloud company S4R, was a founding investor and advisor at Skratch Labs, and Director/Technologist at Novartis Research.
He loves to cycle, camp, travel and spend time with his wife and kids.
